Community Service is derby tradition. CCRG sets a goal to engage in at least one outreach effort per month and is always looking for non-profit groups to be beneficiaries of a portion of our bout proceeds. In the past we have partnered with HandsOn North Georgia, Girls Rock Athens, Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen, Martin Luther King Day of Service, and so much more. Our outreach committee wants to help you! SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR
Please don’t make a girl beg! Roller derby is a do it yourself, grass roots sport and skaters do not get paid to play. We are always willing to work with local and national companies, as well as individuals and organizations to sponsor our league or a specific skater. We love cold hard cash, but we take in-kind donations too!! Plus we will provide you with advertising on our web-site and in our program, shout outs at the bout and more! RULES COORDINATOR
Are you a skater from another league visiting Athens? Do you want to practice with us during your stay? Email our rules and training committee at rules@classiccityrollergirls.com.
REFEREE OR NON-SKATING OFFICIAL INFORMATION
Hate following the rules but love to enforce them? We are looking for referees and NSOs. Individuals who are interested in refereeing should have basic skating skills, the ability to purchase safety gear and a desire to learn and enforce the rules of Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). NSOs do all of their work off skates and without gear, come as you are! If you are interested in being a referee please contact our head referee at refs@classicictyrollergirls.com.
