Dixie Defeats Classic City
Sporting a roster of ten skaters and featuring a one-time appearance by retired veteran skater, Knockin' Bootsy, CCRG fell to the Dixie Derby Girls by a score of 96 to 75. Dixie dominated the action from the first jam, but CCRG clawed its way back up while taking advantage of numerous Dixie penalties. Hard-rocking half-time entertainment was provided by the Athens Band, and HandOn NE Georgia will receive a portion of the bout proceeds. MVPs were Knockin' Bootsy (CCRG) and C.U. Afterclass (DDG). For more (brief) details on the bout, check out our twitter feed.
The teams descended on Fat Daddy's for an incredible beer-soaked, karaoke-filled party! Thanks to our fans and sponsors. Congratulations to the Dixie Derby Girls!
The next home event will be Saturday, November 7th when the girls battle the Cape Fear Rollergirls. You won't wanna miss this one!

Sponsor of the Month
The CCRG girls' mouths are watering thinking about their newest sponsor – Johnny's Pizza! Johnny’s Pizza has been in Georgia since 1977 when they opened a store in Forest Park. They serve New York style pizza by the slice or by the pie. They also specialize in calzones, subs, salads and much more. They’ve grown into a popular franchise but still support local groups like CCRG. We are proud to name Johnny’s Pizza as our sponsor of the month. Stop by their Athens location at 1040 Gaines School Road or call 706-354-1515 for delivery next time you're in the mood for some great pizza!
