In Case You Missed It…
 Sporting a slim roster of ten skaters, the Classic City Rollergirls started their home season off right this June with a decisive win over the rollergirls from Charleston, SC (125-53). "Lowcountry Brawl" pitted the High Rollers from the Lowcountry against the Athens rollergirls for the first time. Game MVPs were Psycho Deluxe (CCRG) and Tranquiliza (LCHR). Local fans turned out for the first home bout and the girls are looking forward to an exciting season. The next home event will be Saturday, August 8th when the girls battle the Camel City Rollergirls from Winston-Salem, NC. You won’t wanna miss this one!

Classic City Rollergirls Battle Rogue Rollergirls on the Road This Month
The Classic City Rollergirls are headed to North Carolina this month for their second away bout of the season. The Rogue Rollergirls from Fayetteville will face off against Classic City for the first time on Sunday, July 19th. Action begins at 5pm.

Terrapin Percentage Night on Thursday, July 9th
Come support the Classic City Rollergirls and Terrapin Brewing Company. On Thursday, July 9th from 5:30 to 7:30 the brewery is open for tours and tasting and a percentage of the cost at the door benefits your Classic City Rollergirls. The Classic City Roller Girls are proud to announce their selection of HandsOn Northeast Georgia as this year’s community outreach partner. The local HandsOn office is one of the programs of Community Connection of Northeast Georgia that helps individuals, families and corporate and community groups find flexible volunteer opportunities at various organizations in Athens-Clarke and Oconee Counties.
As part of their ongoing tradition of commitment to community service, CCRG will focus their 2009 outreach efforts in partnership with HandsOn Northeast Georgia throughout the season. Roller derby fans are invited and encouraged to work along with CCRG by registering to volunteer through HandsOn Northeast Georgia.
