In Case You Missed It…
In a nail biter, CCRG bested the Winston-Salem's Camel City Thrashers (ably assisted by members of the Columbia Quad Squad and the Upstate Roller Girl Evolution) by a score of 97 to 83. Atlanta Rollergirl skaters Shaniahilator, Doomslayer, and Tina Tourniquet rounded out the CCRG roster at twelve. After leading the first half (54 to 40), CCRG fell into some penalty trouble, but clawed their way back on top in the last jam. Camel City's jammer, the Quad Squad's Mel Anoma, was sent to the box, allowing Chimera to rack up 15 points and catapult CCRG to victory with a score of 97 to 83. For more details on the action, check out our play-by-play on twitter. Games MVPs were Torch (from U.R.G.E. for Camel City) and Chimera.
The teams descended on Fat Daddy's for an incredible beer-soaked, karaoke-filled party! "Girls Rock and Rule" was by far the most exciting game and party of the season thus far!

Sponsor of the Month
CCRG is excited about one of it's newest sponsors, Fat Daddy's Bar and Grill. Fat Daddy's is relatively new to the Athens bar scene, celebrating it's one year anniversary this month. The rollergirls had a killer time at their first Fat Daddy's afterparty after the Camel City Bout. The bar has a great drink selection and now serves food. They have poker nights on Mondays, Karaoke on Tuesdays and live music on Wednesdays with drink specials every day. Fat Daddy's is located at 4030 Lexington Road in the Willowood Shopping Center. Come join us there to party with the rollergirls after the Sept. 12th bout!
