Come learn the basics of roller derby with the Classic City Rollergirls! We can provide everything you need to try it out with no commitment required. We’ll have mouth guards for purchase for $2, full gear you can borrow for a refundable $20 deposit, and skates you can rent from the rink for $3 per practice. No previous roller skating experience is required – we are here to teach you!
The 6-week-long new skater intake program begins on February 16th at 9:30am at Fun Galaxy, 3030 Cherokee Road, Athens.
After your first practice on the 16th, new skaters will attend a 6-week long introductory training program during rookie practices on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings.
Introductory practice dates runs through February 16th through April 1st: on Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30am, and on Monday nights from 6pm to 9pm. After completing the 6-week program, you’ll be invited to officially join the league and will continue to hone your roller derby skills!
